@kallenlover99 @kallenlover99 @kallenlover99 haha well theres plenty of videos here on youtube showing custom iguana cages, so get an idea from there. you can also just buy a custom reptile cage there are many online to chose from. i had no expirience when i built mine and it came out fine but if you dont want to build one here’s a good place to look {cages by design dot com} (for mine i used birch wood screws and mosquito netting.)
@kallenlover99 Hello, its not really a good idea to put iguana’s in tanks period. They are arboreal creatures and prefer alot of vertical space. I made the mistake of putting this guy in a tank, but either way it was only a little while he’s in a custom cage now. a custom cage is the way to go. i have learned that in my many years of owning iguanas that tanks are not in an iguanas best interest. I think any educated iguana owner will tell you the same, so build a custom cage.
I got a question, if u buy a baby iguana, is it always better to buy a 90 gallon tank from the start? cuz I was at some reptile store, and the guy who worked there told me to start from a 20/30 gallon tank first cuz otherwise, a 90 gallon tank for a baby iguana wouldn’t be good and it will stress them out. He said I should start smaller and as they grow buy a bigger tank each time it grows. Is that true? is that the best idea for Iguana care? someone please respond. thanx!
@MindMorons adult iguanas are much larger than water dragons. The iguana in this video is about as small as they come. an adult water dragon will be much larger than this iguana here, when the video was made
my iguanas name is ziggy (like ziggy marley), he is about a month old and i simply put my hand around the cage and he tries to tail whip it. i dont know why and/or what to do. since you went to college on these guys im guessing you could be of some help. please respond:)
@iguanaman07 alright thank u very much! I’ll look into it
